a variety of paints, equipment and processes and gain an understanding of how

available in the classroom for developing work in 3D. There will be a range of materials and processes available for

display for teachers and classroom assistants.
Activities will include practical investigation of materials, techniques
and processes involved in displaying all forms of 2D and 3D work and resources
for display. Course participants will
be asked to mount a display as part of the course, so please bring work from
your school (any subject area) you would be happy to leave on display here at
Hepscott Park. Please ensure that work
is clearly marked with the name of your school so that we can safely return it

materials the session will provide participants with examples and strategies as
to how Art and Design can be used as

2000 at the Education Development Centre, Hepscott Park “I Can’t Draw!” Building Children’s Confidence in
Drawing First, middle and special This course is designed to give teachers simple, effective
and successful strategies to build confidence and self esteem in pupils,
especially those who feel that they have lost confidence in their own drawing
ability. Through discussion and
practical activities, including drawing, the course will provide a framework

Friday 13th October 2000 at the Education Development Centre, Hepscott Park Art and the Natural Environment First, middle and special This course aims to introduce teachers to the wide
range of activities which can be inspired through a study of the natural
environment. The morning session will
involve a visit to Plessey Woods followed by practical work in the Art room at
Hepscott in the afternoon. Activities
could include collecting, drawing, painting, constructing, printing and

2000 at Education Development Centre, Hepscott Park Art and Design and the Single Attainment Target First, middle and special Following the recent revision of the Art and Design
curriculum, the subject is now to be taught through a Single Attainment
Target. This course aims to bring staff
up to date with the new orders for Art and Design and provide strategies for
