It will cover aspects of national and local education services, the assistants’ place with it and general expectations of schools with regard to the work of the assistant. The day provides ideas and practical activities which encourage work in the four skills, group and pair work and the use of the target language in the classroom. The course combines intensive language work, practical assignments and cultural activities. It offers the opportunity to further enhance linguistic skills and develop cultural awareness. RR046 9.15am - 3.30pm on Tuesday 6 July 1999 at Duchess’s High School (Lindisfarne Annex), Alnwick Learning Skills for A, A/S Level Students in Modern Languages High This half day session is designed to provide Y12 students in particular with effective learning skills as they embark on their A, A/S level course in a modern language. The session will be in up to 5 venues in late September 1999 to enable as many A, A/S level students as possible and their teacher to attend.
