Assertiveness: A positive approach to managing pupils

The aim of this course is to develop a positive communication style that will allow you to effectively address difficult situations at work which will lead to a positive outcome for both parties.

The course will:

• help participants to identify their own communications style
• identify a range of communication styles and explore when and where they might be used (classroom/staff room/office)
• examine the notion of an assertive community - a school where communication and values are shared and understood.
