Classroom Assistants Network

First, middle and special

These network meetings are for anyone who works as a classroom assistant, whether paid or as a volunteer. They will supplement opportunities in school to get briefed on the numeracy and literacy strategies and to discuss effective ways of supporting in the classroom.

Each session will have a theme:

Summer term, 1999, first half: introduction to the Numeracy Strategy
Summer term, 1999, second half: support during numeracy lessons
Autumn term, 1999, first half: support during the literacy hour
Autumn term, 1999, second half: games for numeracy
Spring term, 2000, first half: literacy and special needs
Spring term, 2000, second half: numeracy and special needs
